Some Cool G11 Photos

Here are some sweet photos I took with my new G11. I included a variety (landscape, macro, low light, etc.) to show the camera’s capabilities. These photos received some slight post-processing in Picasa (a very destructive editor). I just didn’t take the time to properly post-process these.

Silver Star & My G3 (and some Gimp too)

I woke up one chilly morning and decided to take a hike up Silver Star mountain.  The mountain in the distance (in the third picture) is Mt. Hood.

A Walk in the Dog Park

I bought a tripod one day so I could get low good low light shots.  I went to the dog park with Lady a few nights later and saw this gorgeous sunset.  I set up the tripod and camera and snapped a couple shots.  Here’s what I saw.

God’s Creation

These pictures were taken with a Canon S3IS.  The leaf picture was taken on a hike up on Silver Star, a mountain north of Vancouver.  The stream comes off of Lacamas Lake, out in Camas.  Enjoy!

Lincoln City, Oregon Coast

Our Crazy Snowstorm

We had (was “has” but Becky corrected me in the comments) a wacky snowstorm this year.  Here are a few pictures before it got too deep.  Getting in and out of the driveway was quite the challenge.

Tim’s Yard

Yes, Tim’s yard really is this beautiful.

By the way, the effect I used for this picture is called the “Orton Effect.” The effect basically places a sharp image over a saturated, blurred image. Or something like that.
