40 Years and Counting . . .

My parents committed themselves to one another 40 years ago.  Unlike a lot of people in this day and age, they honored that committment (I’m not sure how my mom did it) and I must say I’m impressed.

Congratulations, Mom & Dad, on 40 years of marital bliss!  We’ll see you on our 40th.

    We are so proud of you two! And we thank God for your example of commitment and love for each other.

    I especially like the picture of you with your granddaughter! It is very sweet.

    Thank you Eric and Amity, Becky, Aunt Naomi and Lisa and Rich. It’s hard to believe that we’ve been married 40 years. Thirty five of them have been wedded bliss. :) Where has the time gone? Naomi, Virgil is a bit confused about where we’ll be on our 50th. Closer to our family is what I want (whether that’s here or in heaven). Actually I’ve been blessed to have a wonderful husband (handsome, macho, talented, and one who loves Jesus) also two special kids, one great daughter-in-law and now precious Alaina. God has richly blessed us.

    Virgil and Patsy, Happy 40th! With divorce being so commonplace, even amongst Christian marriages, it is really a blessing and an inspiration to see folks who can stick it out through the good and bad (35 of good right Patsy, hee-hee) for all these years.

    I have to admit it; Patsy deserves a lot of credit. Between the best wife for me and the best kids as well I’m the richest man alive.
